General tips for avoiding bugs
To work on a wardrobe, Clemz will use your web browser and perform actions on it. And just like anyone else, it needs to be in good working order:
-
Do not touch Chrome or Yandex while Clemz is working. Ideally, do not use your computer or phone at the same time to avoid interference: take the opportunity to make a cup of tea or go for a short walk.
-
Do not let your device go into standby mode. On smartphones in particular, this will cut the connection and block the extension.
-
Clemz is used to working with a good internet connection: if you use it on a connection that is too slow (3G or while watching Netflix at the same time), it may not work properly...
-
Clemz will run more smoothly on a fast computer or a latest-generation smartphone. Clemz's speed and responsiveness are linked to the speed of the device you are using it on.
Basic techniques in case of a bug
Several things can cause a bug in the Clemz extension. Here are some basic techniques that will help you if you are experiencing the following problems:
- Adding views does not work or runs in vain
- Messages to favorites immediately show as "Failed" or display "XXX ERROR XXX"
- Unable to connect to Clemz: it does not respond (no error message)
These four solutions may seem simplistic, but they resolve 90% of the above cases! Apply the first one and then try using Clemz again. If the problem persists, move on to the next solution:
-
Solution 1: Log out of Clemz and then log back in. Go to the Clemz home tab ( icon) and click on "Menu". Then click on "Log out". Log back in with your username and password and try using Clemz again.
-
Solution 2: Close the browser completely via the menu. Whether you are using Chrome or Yandex, a pending update may be blocking you. Go to the browser menu at the top right and scroll down to click on "Exit" or "Close". Then reopen the browser and try using Clemz again.
-
Solution 3: Restart your device. Sometimes the bug can be caused by a communication failure between Clemz and your browser. As is often the case with computers, restarting your computer or phone will fix the problem!
-
Solution 4: Uninstall and then reinstall Clemz. Everything is explained in this item.
Clemz does not appear when I go to Vinted
If you don't see Clemz's box at the bottom left of your browser when you log in to the Vinted website, it means that the extension is not properly activated.
Reminder: Clemz is a Chrome extension that works on the Vinted website. It does not work on the app. It can be installed on computers or Android devices, but not on iPads or iPhones.
To check whether Clemz has been successfully installed and activated, follow the steps below:
-
In the address bar of Chrome (computer) or Yandex (Android), type the address: chrome://extensions. You must type TEXTO this in the address bar (instead of "https://google.fr", for example, you would type "chrome://extensions").
- This will open a window with a list of installed Chrome extensions: look for the "Clemz" box. If it is not there, Clemz is not installed: download it from www.clemz.app/extension.
-
Check that the button at the bottom right of the Clemz box is enabled (it should be blue, not grey). If necessary, click on it to reactivate it.
How to avoid being identified as a bot by Vinted
Sometimes Vinted blocks your actions with Clemz because it suspects the use of a bot. This can happen in the form of a captcha (see below) or unexpected blocking.
Here are a few tips to reduce the risk of getting captcha and other Vinted blocks:
-
Monitor your IP reputation: if your IP address is frequently used by other bots, it will be more easily identified. VPN addresses, for example, can have this problem.
-
Avoid actions that take too long in Clemz, such as reposting more than 60 items at once without spacing (find out more).
-
Use Vinted "normally" on your browser without always going through Clemz. For example, use the mobile app less and the web version of Vinted more: this will help convince Vinted that you are human.
-
Space out your work sessions: rather than reposting 100 items at once, do two sessions of 50 reposts over the course of a day, spacing them a few hours apart. What's more, this is more effective for visibility on Vinted (find out more)!
-
As soon as Clemz displays a captcha, hurry up and solve it: Vinted will store the information that you are a real human being in your cookies.
What to do if Vinted captchas are blocking you
Sometimes Vinted blocks your actions because it suspects the use of a bot. This can happen in the form of a captcha (see below) or unexpected blocking.
When Vinted blocks you and you can no longer use Clemz, here's how to unblock yourself:
-
Clear your Chrome cookies or switch to private browsing to unblock yourself. Don't hesitate to completely close the browser (via the menu) and restart your device.
- If this does not work and Vinted continues to display a captcha for one of Clemz's actions, perform the same action manually. For example, if a captcha is preventing you from sending a message to a favorite, open your notifications and try sending any message to a favorite (just a "." if necessary).
- If this persists, you appear to be identified as a "bot" and you need to change your browser's "web fingerprint". There are several things you can do: change your IP address (restart your router, use a VPN or switch to mobile hotspot mode on your mobile phone) or switch to a different browser (Brave, Edge, Sidekick or Chrome) for a few days.
Once the situation seems to be resolved, keep the session open for as long as possible without clearing your cookies: Vinted will trust you more if you have not been identified as a bot after several days of use.
I don't get any response from Clemz when I click
Your extensions may have crashed: this sometimes happens.
So we need to restart Clemz. To do this, we'll simply disable and re-enable it:
-
In the address bar of Chrome (computer) or Yandex (Android), type the address: chrome://extensions. You must type TEXTO this in the address bar (instead of "https://google.fr", for example, you would type "chrome://extensions").
- This will open a window with a list of installed Chrome extensions: look for the "Clemz" entry. Then disable Clemz using the button at the bottom right of the entry (it will turn grey) and re-enable Clemz by clicking again (the button will turn blue again).
This should now unblock Clemz.
Clemz seems to be spinning its wheels
Sometimes Clemz can get stuck in the middle of an action and be unable to progress. He then spins his wheels:
You've probably found a bug! With a little help from you, I'll be able to fix it. Below are the steps to give me the information I need to fix the bug:
On Yandex:
- Important: these actions must be performed while Clemz is already spinning in place. If you do this when Clemz is not bugging, I will not be able to see anything...
- When Clemz is spinning in place, open the Yandex menu and click on "Developer tools" or "Outils développeurs".
- A tab will open: click on it. Then click on >> and select "Console".
- What is displayed here (= the "Yandex console") can help me fix the bug. Please send me a screenshot to
b@onvinzjour@contactclemclemz.appz@hotmail.fr.ano-replypp
On a computer (Chrome):
- Important: these actions must be performed when Clemz is already running in the background. If you do this when Clemz is not crashing, I will not be able to see anything...
- When Clemz is running in the background, right-click on the window and click on "Inspect"
- A panel will open on the right side of Chrome. At the top, click on "Console".
- What is displayed here (= the "Chrome console") can help me fix the bug. Please send me a screenshot to

Clemz often displays "Timeout (anti-blocking)" messages.
When working, Clemz may display a "Timeout (anti-blocking)" message and a countdown timer.
These waiting times can be annoying, but it's important to understand that they are absolutely essential for Clemz to function properly. In order to limit the action of bots and extensions on its website, Vinted refuses to work if you work too quickly. It then temporarily blocks the use of its site and Clemz can no longer do anything.
Thanks to these waiting times, Clemz avoids "speeding" and therefore blockages. So you'll need to be patient, let Clemz run on your device and take the opportunity to do something else: pack your bags, surf another website, go for a walk...
Good to know:
-
Clemz may sometimes launch two or three timeouts in a row: it only does this if Vinted continues to block it, so don't panic, this is normal. Unfortunately, this can mean a total pause of nearly an hour for certain actions...
-
There is no point in stopping Clemz and restarting it: this will not allow you to bypass a timeout. Clemz will still be blocked by Vinted and you will have just wasted your time.
Clemz is blocked, Vinted requires two-factor authentication
When reposting certain items, Clemz may be blocked by Vinted, which refuses to create a draft and asks you to enable two-factor authentication.
This usually happens when you repost branded listings: Vinted, which fights against counterfeits, wants to make sure you are trustworthy.
Here's how to unblock yourself:
-
Enable two-step verification on your Vinted account in My settings -> Security > Two-step verification
-
Clear your cookies and close Chrome. You will then be able to log back into your Vinted account
-
Create a draft manually via the Chrome browser (not on the mobile app). Make sure it has the same category and brand as the listing you are trying to repost with Clemz. This should trigger a text message from Vinted.
-
Complete the two-step verification via SMS, and Vinted should unlock your account!
Vinted rejects the size or category of my listing
When reposting a listing with Clemz, Vinted refuses to publish it and asks you to enter a size or category even though they have already been filled in! Examples:
- Vinted says: "Size must be entered"
- Vinted says: "Invalid category"
- Vinted says: "Choose a subcategory"
Why? Vinted regularly changes and reorganises its item categories and available sizes. So when you repost a listing, especially if it's several months old, it may contain an old size/category reference that no longer exists: Vinted will then reject it.
How can I resolve this issue? Clemz will publish a complete draft of the listing in question: simply edit this draft and manually enter an existing size/category on Vinted. The listing will then be updated and accepted: future reposts should no longer be an issue.
My version is not up to date
I update Clemz regularly, and after a while, older versions become obsolete. Clemz may then prevent you from performing certain actions if it is not up to date.
There are two ways to update Clemz:
Method 1 (the simplest):
-
Close Chrome or Yandexcompletely (Important for Yandex: click on the menu at the top right and scroll down to "exit" or "close").
- When you reopen the browser, go to the Clemz home page (the "Home" tab) and check in the top right corner that the version number is displayed in green and has changed.
- If necessary, click on the " " button to refresh.
Method 2 (most reliable):
-
In the address bar of Chrome (computer) or Yandex (Android), type the address: chrome://extensions. You must type TEXTO this in the address bar (instead of "https://google.fr", for example, you would type "chrome://extensions").
- In the tab that opens, click on the "developer mode" button at the top right.
- Three blue buttons will appear in the top left corner. Click on the "Update" button.
- Check Clemz's insert on this page: the version number should have changed.
How do I uninstall and then reinstall the extension?
For some Chrome bugs, uninstalling and then reinstalling the extension can resolve the issue. To uninstall Clemz, follow the steps below:
-
In the address bar of Chrome (computer) or Yandex (Android), type the address: chrome://extensions. You must type this in the address bar (instead of "https://google.fr", for example, you would type "chrome://extensions").
- This will open a window with a list of installed Chrome extensions: look for the "Clemz" entry.
- Delete Clemz by clicking on the "Remove" button.
- Once Clemz has been uninstalled, close the browser completely via its menu. Click on the menu and then look for "Exit" at the bottom.
- I would even advise you to restart your device completely.
- Now all you have to do is reinstall Clemz by reopening the browser and going to www.clemz.app/extension.
