Why save your Vinted listings on Clemz?

Saving your Vinted listings allows you to have a copy on www.clemz.app ( more specifically on your Clemz dashboard) of all the photos and information about your listings: titles, descriptions, sizes, prices, measurements, etc.

It's always a good idea to have a copy of your listings (including photos) for several reasons:

  1. Clemz can modify your photos if they are saved. This is a repost setting that allows you to avoid Vinted's identifications. This listing explains how to use it
  2. Vinted is often quick to act and deletes listings rapidly, sometimes rightly so, but often wrongly (detection of false duplicates, items considered prohibited when they are not, etc.). With the backup, you keep a copy safe so that you can try to republish the listing after making a few changes (for example, to the photo).
  3. Vinted can even be heavy-handed and ban your account. In this case, all your listings are lost: hours spent taking photos, writing descriptions, measuring your clothes... unless you've saved them!

Ultimately, saving on Clemz is a bit like life insurance for your wardrobe: you no longer depend on the goodwill of Vinted (and its robots).

How to save your listings with Clemz?

Clemz provides you with a system for saving your listings. The video below gives a quick overview of photo edits and how they work:

Here are the detailed steps to follow to save your wardrobe:

0. View Clemz

The first step is to install the Clemz extension on your web browser. If you haven't already done so, please go here to get the extension. Then go to the Vinted website to display the extension at the bottom left of your screen.

Now go to your wardrobe page so that the "My wardrobe" tab is accessible.

1. Choose which listings to save

Running a backup on your entire wardrobe is time-consuming and unnecessary if it is already partially saved. In the "Which listings to target?" section, you can decide to run the backup on:

  • Your entire wardrobe (for example, to make an initial backup)
  • The listings on your "to do" list (for example, to update only a few listing backups)
  • Items "from no. X to no. Y" (e.g. to limit the backup to listings located between positions X and Y in your wardrobe)

2. Start saving

In the menu next to "Start!", click on the drop-down menu and select the action "⏫ Save listings". Then click on "Start!".

3. Tell Clemz exactly how to save

Before starting the save, Clemz suggests that you do not save ALL targeted listings (= your entire wardrobe OR your list to be processed OR your items from No. X to No. Y). The idea is to allow you to work faster by avoiding sending items that have already been saved a second time.

To speed up the process, Clemz suggests that you limit yourself to listings that have never been saved, so that you don't have to go back over listings that have already been saved.

If you send allthe listings, Clemz will also want to know which photos to keep between the Vinted photos and those already on clemz.app

Choose the appropriate action depending on whether the correct photos are those already on clemz.app or those on Vinted

Clemz's rules regarding saving

When you save listings on Clemz, the system follows a few basic rules:

  • Clemz only keeps listings from people with a subscription: without a subscription for 60 days, all your listings will be deleted (Clemz will notify you by email in advance).
  • If you have a subscription, Clemz does not delete listings itself: items sold or deleted on Vinted are kept on Clemz. Listings saved a second time will either create a duplicate on clemz.app or update their backup if the "link" between the Vinted listing and the backup has been retained (what is the "link"?). You are the only person who can decide that a listing should be deleted from your backup (as long as you have a subscription - without a subscription, listings are only kept for 60 days).
  • If you save a listing again (already saved on clemz.app):
    1. Clemz systematically overwrites the information from clemz.app and replaces it with that from Vinted. Clemz is able to identify which listings have already been saved, thus avoiding duplicate backups. It then overwrites the old information (title, colours, description, etc.) and replaces it with the new information.
    2. Clemz keeps the photos of your choice from among those already on clemz.app and those in your Vinted wardrobe. You can make this choice when you start the save and this question appears:

How often should I back up?

It all depends on how often you add or modify your listings. If you never add new listings and never modify them, an initial backup will suffice.

Overall, it is advisable to:

  1. Save each new Vinted listing immediately so that you have a complete backup
  2. If you frequently modify your listings (description, photos, titles, etc.), update the backup every month

It's best to check your backup from time to time to make sure it matches what you have on Vinted.

ℹ️ Did you know?
Clemz automatically saves your listings every time you "♻️(re)publish as a listing" as soon as Vinted accepts the publication. However, it only saves the text (title, description, measurements, brand, etc.) and not the photos. This makes it easier to update your backup.

How to use saved listings?

Your Clemz backup has many uses (see menu above), which I will explain below:

Manage listings on Clemz

All your saved listings are accessible on your Clemz dashboard.
From there, you can:

  • - View your listings (content, photos, etc.)
  • - Track the history of their reposts (read here)
  • - Sort and filter them to find them easily
  • - Delete them from your Clemz backup (not Vinted)
  • - Download photos from a listing in zip format
Edit photos by reposting

👉 Read more about this feature here.

When you repost with the Clemz extension, you can edit the photos in a listing. Clemz will then make automatic changes (which you choose) based on the photos saved from your listings. This means that changes can be made indefinitely, as it always starts from the original photos saved.

Replace the original photos

👉 Read more about this feature here.

From the Clemz extension, you can re-import all the photos saved from a listing. The aim is, for example, to remove changes or restore photos to a listing that has lost them. This feature is available on the "Edit my listings" tab.

How do I import a listing from clemz.app to Vinted?

If a listing has been lost from your Vinted wardrobe or if your entire wardrobe has been banned, you can use the Clemz backup to send complete listings from clemz.app to Vinted.

The video below gives a quick overview of how to do this:

Step 1: go to your Clemz backup

Your save is available at www.clemz.app/dashboard/items. You can then display the Clemz extension by activating the "Show extension" button.

The Clemz extension will then appear at the bottom left:

Step 2: display the listings to import

Using filters and sorting, find the saved listings you want to import to Vinted and display them in view to add them to your Clemz lists.

Step 3: add the listings to your list

  1. Open the Clemz extension (click on the logo at the bottom left)
  2. Go to the "Fill my lists" tab and click on Start selection
  3. Select the listings from your backup that you want to re-import to Vinted
  4. On the Clemz extension, click on + Add
  5. The listings have now been added to the "to be processed" list, as you can see from the list that appears 👍

Step 4: Launch a repost on Vinted

Now all you have to do is repost from the Vinted website and the saved items will be created in your wardrobe. All the instructions for reposting on Vinted are available here.

⚠️ Important!
Has Vinted banned you and are you re-importing your wardrobe to a new wardrobe? Be sure to significantly modify the photos of your listings when importing them (using the dedicated option on Clemz - read here).
Otherwise, Vinted may detect that you are reposting listings from a banned account and ban you again.
  1. If you choose the "♻️ Republish listings" mode, the listings will be imported and published directly
  2. If you choose "💾 Listing → draft" mode, the listings will be imported as drafts

When you use it, Clemz remembers which item on Vinted corresponds to an item saved on clemz.app. This "link" is retained when you repost with Clemz: it knows that the old Vinted listing has been deleted and that a new (identical) one has been created.

What is this for?

It is important that Clemz can keep this "link", which is "knowing which saved listing corresponds to which item in your Vinted wardrobe", in order to:

  1. Avoid duplicates when you save a listing that already exists on clemz.app
  2. Find the right photos for a savedlisting when you ask Clemz to modify the photos or when you use the " restore saved photos" function.

How can I check that the link is correct?

To check that Clemz has matched your saved listing with its equivalent in your Vinted wardrobe, simply:

  1. Go to the Clemz page for the saved listing (your listings are visible here).
  2. Click on "check link" and confirm that it opens the corresponding listing on the Vinted website

What if the saved link ⟷ Vinted is lost?

Sometimes the link can be lost => for a saved listing, Clemz no longer knows which listing in your Vinted wardrobe it corresponds to. This is particularly the case if you repost other than via Clemz.

Here's how to restore this "link":

  1. Go to the saved listing page (your listings are visible here).
  2. Click on "" Link Vinted item and paste the URL of the Vinted listing corresponding to this saved item. The URL should look like "www.vinted.fr/items/31782922-chaussures"
  3. Once you have made the change, click on "check link"(still on the listing page) and confirm that it opens the corresponding listing on the Vinted website

Happy sales with Clemz!
