Why send messages to your favourites?
When a Vintie favours one of your items, it means she is (presumably) very interested.
She wants to either save this item to buy it later or let you know that she is interested so that you can give her a small discount.
In both cases, by quickly sending them a message and even offering a reduced price, you increase your chances of selling the item.
The decision to buy is often spontaneous, made on a whim or at first sight. To trigger the purchase, take advantage of the fact that the Vintie has recently seen and liked your item. Strike while the iron is hot!
The video below gives a quick overview of how it works and the options available for sending messages to your favourites:
How do Clemz's "messages to favs" work?
The "messages to favourites" feature allows you to let Clemz search your received favourites in order to automatically send the potential buyer a text message you have chosen and, if desired, a discount offer on the item.
Clemz works in two stages:
Phase 1 - Reading favourites already received: Clemz retrieves all the notifications you have already received and reads them one by one. To speed up this process, there are options to skip favourites you have already received or to only read the most recent ones (just those from the last few days).
Phase 2 - Real-time monitoring of favourites: Clemz will then check for new notifications every 3 minutes. If it detects a favourite, it will send a message to the Vinties concerned if the conditions are met.
Rules for sending a message:
When Clemz finds a favourite in your notifications, it will follow the rules below before sending an automatic message:
No more than 2 messages per Vintie in 24 hours (to avoid spam). This includes all messages: those sent by Clemz as well as those sent manually by you. Please note that if you leave message number 2 blank, only one message will be sent per 24 hours.
Do not send a message to a favourite if it has already been exchanged. Clemz only sends messages or offers to "blank" favourites: if the favourite has already been the subject of a message (manually or via Clemz), Clemz will ignore the favourite. This avoids sending contradictory or off-topic messages.
As Clemz reads through each of her favourites and messages, she identifies the last message exchanged with a Vintie. All favourites from this Vintie that were given before this last message will be ignored. Clemz cannot read the content of exchanges and prefers to avoid sending an automatic message after a discussion has already started.
Clemz always sends messages to the most recent favourites first.
No message will be sent to Vinties you have blocked or excluded. Vinties that have been added to the "Vinties to exclude" list in Clemz (see below) are "excluded".
Follow Clemz's work:
There are several ways to follow what Clemz is doing with favourite messages:
Your Vinted inbox shows you all the messages and offers sent to Vinties (click here).
Your Clemz Dashboardgivesyou a summary of messages sent (table at the bottom) and also allows you to check whether real-time monitoring of favourites is still in progress or not (here), for example from a device other than the one on which Clemz is running. Example:
Step-by-step explanation + option details
The Clemz tab for sending messages to favourites can be accessed by going to the "messaging" page on Vinted (click here).
Here are the steps to follow and details of all the options available to effectively use the favourite messages feature.
1. Edit the text of messages sent
First step: write the messages you want Clemz to send automatically. Clicking on the ✍️ Sent texts button opens a window where you can enter two standard messages.
The first one will be sent if a Vintie leaves you a favourite. The second will be sent if she adds a second favourite within 24 hours, unless you leave message number 2 blank.
There is no third message type because Clemz does not send more than two messages to the same Vintie within 24 hours.
Example:
If a Vintie leaves you 4 favourites and Clemz reads them on the same day, she will receive message 1 and message 2 in succession.
If the same Vintie gives you 5 favourites 2 days later, Clemz will send her message 1 and message 2 again.
Optional - Exclude certain Vinties
By clicking on 🙈 Ignored Vinties, you can add names of Vinties not to contact, even if they add you as a favourite.
This allows you, for example, to avoid spamming your subscribers or members of your boost group.
2.a) Sending options
These options allow you to adjust how you will contact a potential buyer when all the rules for sending a message have been met.
You have two options available:
Make a discount: by activating this option, Clemz will accompany your messages with an offer (price reduction) on the item favourited by the Vintie. The offer is calculated automatically by Clemz based on a percentage discount or a fixed amount in euros.
Ignore if rating below x: With this option, you can avoid sending messages or offers to Vinties who have been poorly rated for their sales and purchases. Please note that Vinties without a rating (new accounts) will be systematically ignored (no offers or messages).
2.b) Which favourites to read
These options concern the choice of favourites to read or not. Unread favourites will simply be ignored and will not be recorded as "processed" in Clemz's memory. This way, if you change the options later, you can ask Clemz to read them again.
You have three options available:
"Received since at least...": This option allows you to skip favourites that are less than X minutes/hours/days old. This allows you to either avoid "jumping" directly on a potential buyer (so they don't feel "harassed") or to target older favourites instead in order to re-engage a potential buyer a few hours/days later.
"Read history on ...": When reviewing your entire notification history to find favourites, Clemz may come across thousands of notifications (for larger wardrobes). Reading them can be extremely time-consuming. Enable this option to shorten this reading step, taking care to choose a duration between 1 hour and 6 days.
By default, Clemz will attempt to read your favourites from the last 7 days.
"Ignore all favourites already received": By default, Clemz rereads the history of your favourites already received. However, if you enable this option, Clemz will switch directly to "continuous monitoring" and will only respond to favourites received in real time.
3) Enable message to favourites
That's it! Everything is ready for you to start the process. Clemz will retrieve favourites, read them, contact Vinties when relevant, etc.

Restrictions by Vinted: explanations and
tips
In mid-2025, Vinted introduced restrictions on reading favourite notifications. This restriction applies to all users and therefore to the Clemz extension: in short, it prevents you from contacting more than 20 favourites every 1 to 2 hours.
As a result, Clemz will pause (or delay) every 20 favourites read to avoid being blocked by Vinted.
How can you see this restriction for yourself?
The restriction can be viewed from your Vinted wardrobe as it affects all users, even in manual mode:
Open your notifications
Open several favourite notifications, each in a new tab (on a computer: click on the notifications while holding down the CTRL key)
Each tab opens your Vinted messaging and loads the message to contact the person who gave the favourite
After opening 21 notifications, subsequent messages will no longer load...
What can be done about this?
Limiting it to 1 message every 4 minutes is ridiculously long. Especially when you have a large account and messages to favourites significantly increase sales
We need to collectively protest to Vinted and push them to change this ridiculous setting
Contact Vinted and tell them that when you send your messages manually, you encounter a bug that blocks notifications from opening after 20 clicks (see the test I detail above).
It is not in their interest to reduce your sales too much. Switching to 1 or 2 messages per minute, for example, would be reasonable.
What tips are there anyway?
If the restriction continues for a long time, here are a few simple tips to optimise your messaging to your favourites:
Only send one message per Vintie per 24 hours, not two. To do this, leave the second message blank: this will allow you to contact moreVinties
If you have a lot of notifications to deal with, focus on those from the last "1-2 hours" so you don't get stuck reading your old notifications for too long. Messages sent at the time of favouriting are the most effective.
Make the most of Clemz's memory: this reduces the chances of unnecessarily reading a favourite that has already been processed and thus "wasting" a notification reading.
Do not restart Clemz if it is in "timeout" mode. These steps are essential and cannot be bypassed (I've tried...): you'll just delay the moment when you can send other messages.
Set up Chrome to alert you when a captcha appears
Sometimes, when you send messages, Vinted may suspect a bot and send a captcha to solve. In this case, Clemz will display the captcha and can play an audible alert to notify you.
To hear this alert, you need to follow these steps:
Click on the icon to the left of the address "www.vinted.fr" to access the Chrome settings for the Vinted website.
In the list that appears, find "sound" and select the "Allow" option
And that's it! If you are in the Chrome window when a captcha appears, you will hear an alert!
